In the wake of landing a collab with one of Hip Hop’s greats, Nicki Minaj, last summer on the Likkle Miss track, Dancehall’s current shining Armour, Skeng, is keeping current with the release of his debut EP Friday.
The six-track EP, titled Beast of the Era, features work from four producers. Rvssian gets credit for, It’s True ( featuring Shenseea) and Thug Life. John Coop produced New Era and Highway. And producers Ditruth and Eediattt get credit for the track Demons Awake (featuring Jigstaf ), produced by Droptop Records.
Team Skeng team hosted the launch party at 33 Constant Spring Road in Kingston on Thursday night. But according to the Observer, it ended in disappointment for the host and eager fans. They only got to see their favorite entertainer for about five minutes.
The Jamaica Observer reported that the host of the launch party, Neisha-Yen Jones delivered an apology on behalf of the popular entertainer, but it was half-hearted at best.
The entertainer, who was said to be ill, blamed his inability to perform on a change in the weather.
