A police team from the St Andrew Central Division shot and killed Keith Ruddock, believed to be a person of interest in the murder of constable Brian Martin earlier this month.
Keith Ruddock, otherwise called Hodges, was killed during a confrontation with the police on Friday morning, October, 28, 2022 in Red Hills, St Andrew.
According to OBSERVER ONLINE about 10 am, members of the St Andrew Central Police division were on a targeted operation in the Mosquito Valley area when they went to a house occupied by Ruddock.
Upon reaching the house, Ruddock reportedly fired upon the police. They returned fire, hitting Ruddock.
The police took Ruddock to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Ruddock is known to the police. He got deported from the United States in 2021 on firearm and drug-related charges. He was a person of interest in the October 15 shooting death of Constable Brian Martin of the St Andrew Central police division. Martin, who was from Frog City, was attending a wake in Frog City when he was shot dead.
